Many products use the phrase at the top of this page in their advertisements. The ad is supposed to make you want to buy the product, right. If you think this ("it must be good") is a good thing to say about their product, you might like to know it can also be said about:

  • Hemlock: A plant known to the ancient Greeks (and probably earlier, but no written records). The preparation from this plant was used to execute Socrates.
  • Belladonna: A plant that grows wild. A favorite for poison tipped arrows during the middle ages.
  • Strychnine: "A key ingredient in some rat poisons and Agatha Christie mysteries." From this episode of the YouTube series SciShow

And, while not all sources of arsenic are all natural, it can be found in many plants, so you can get all natural arsenic.

Another naturally occurring chemical is Cyanide, which we all know is good for you.

So, if you think "It's all natural" is a selling point for food, I suggest you try some Hemlock! Hemlock is all natural, so it must be good for you.

Other sites

As you might suspect, other sites talk about this, too. Check out one of the TvTropes entries.

And finally

The word 'natural' is completely meaningless! Everything is natural! Nature includes everything! It's not just trees and flowers! It's everything! A chemical company's toxic waste is completely natural! It's part of nature! We're all part of nature! Everything is natural! Dog shit is natural! It's just not real good food.

And finally, a random note:
There are two types of people in this world, and one of them can extrapolate from incomplete data.
